“MTN is stingy like Delay”

Social and media personality Afia Schwarzenegger has criticized telecommunications giants MTN, calling them “stingy”.

This follows the company’s involvement in the “Our Day” wishlist donation of 9-year-old Oswald, a viral event that happened over the weekend.

The “Our Day List” generated a lot of reaction with over 50 companies and commercial entities coming to Christ Ambassadors School to support young Oswald and make his wish come true.

MTN presented the boy with a branded cake and internet data worth 50 GHc.

This drew a lot of ridicule from many Ghanaians as MTN’s gesture was pale compared to Vodafone’s.

Speaking on her Instagram page, Afia Schwar criticized MTN for being stingy like her former boss and TV personality Delay.

The ‘Our Day’ moment came after the last day of an elementary student’s wish was posted to Twitter before it went viral, drawing responses and interest from individuals and cooperation.
