Multimedia journalists win GJA award in Ashanti region

Multimedia journalists in the Ashanti region shone bright on Friday during the awards ceremony for journalists in the region.

Six of the group's journalists swept 10 out of 22 awards available.

Nana Yaw Gyimah walked with honors in judicial and criminal reporting.

Asenso Mensah also won the honors for the investigative reporting and Kwesi Debrah won the science and technology reportage award.

Mahmud Nurudeen won the title of "Business reporting".

Erastus Asare Donkor won two honors; Reports on human rights (women, children and LGBT) and better reports on the environment.

Prince Appiah won four honors. Best in Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) reports, Best in Broadcast functionality for radio and Best in Broadcast News reports.

And to top it off, he won the award for best journalist for the Ashanti region.
