The former deputy of the Nanton electoral district, Murtala Ibrahim Mohammed, raised questions about the use of money to bankrupt Ghanaian banks.

According to a Pulse.com.gh report, Mohammed said the government deliberately and selectively targeted and destroyed some companies.

His comments come from the Bank of Ghana (BoG), which has revoked licenses and degraded certain financial institutions because of their alleged illegality.

Speaking on Radio Gold, he also questioned the merits of the government's decision to spend 18 billion GHC for such a venture when it owes road contractors.

He also charged Dr Ernest Addison, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, with conspiring with the government to organize the collapse of private commercial companies.

"The Governor of the Bank of Ghana is talking too much, and that's true when the Governor of the Bank of Ghana sneezes, the whole banking sector and the entire economy are attacking, and that's what happens .

You have a governor of the Bank of Ghana who does politics even before serving as governor of a bank such as the Bank of Ghana; So that's the problem, " he added.
