Minister of Reorganization and Regional Development Dan Botwe said his work was not ending simply because the six new regions had been created.

Dan Botwe was appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017 to lead the creation of the regions.

Responding to suggestions that his work should end with the creation of the regions, Botwe told Citi News that the administrative process to ensure the smooth running of the regions would still require his intervention until the President decided other.

President Akufo-Addo will continue to present constitutional instruments for the new regions, with the Bono East and Ahafo regions being the next priorities.

The presentation of the Constitutional Instrument for the Savannah and Northeast Regions ended on Tuesday with the designation of their capital.

Damango has been designated the capital of the Savanes region and Nalerigu, capital of the Northeast region.
