PRINCE Philip shouted, "My legs!" While he was pulled from the wreck of his upset Land Rover.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 97, was trapped after the collision between his vehicle and a Kia carrying two women and a baby.
The 75-year-old witness Roy Warne said about the crash near Sandringham, Norfolk: "It was scary to see."
Mr. Warne also explained how Prince Philip said he was "dazzled by the sun" at a T-junction before his Land Rover struck another car carrying a mother and baby.
He stated that the Duke of Edinburgh had been removed from the "conscious" wreck but "very, very shocked and shaken".
Prince Philip was subjected to a breathalyzer test by the police following the terrible smash.
The 75-year-old lawyer Roy, who was the first on the scene, helped free the royal "disoriented" from his engine, which had overturned.
He heard the duke later admit to the cops that he had been "dazzled by the sun".
Roy was returning home with his wife Victoria, 72, shortly before 3 pm and saw the Land Rover half a second after the collision.
Prince Philip was trapped inside and told the rescuers, "My legs! Where should I put my legs? "
"I had the prince's blood on my hands"
But he was not suspected of serious injury – and was on Queen's side, resting on their estate in Sandringham.
Roy said, "I saw the car turn around and I thought it was really hell.
"Before I even stopped, I told Victoria to dial 999."
Roy helped Philip get out of his upset Land Rover.
He said, "I looked down and I had the prince's blood on my hands.
"All I could think of, thankfully there was no more."
It is believed that the Land Rover was out of a T-crossing on Queen Elizabeth Way and was hit by a Kia people carrier with two women and a ten-month-old baby in the interior.
The driver of the blue Kia told Victoria: "It could have been a disaster."
Roy said the Land Rover "fell on the A149 as a somersault. He turned around again and again. He added, "It was scary to see such a powerful car roll like that.
"I rushed to the other car. There was smoke coming out as if it was going to explode. There was a baby in the back seat screaming.
DAZZLED IN THE SUN
"Once another guy and I managed to get the baby out, I went to the car overturned.
"There was an elderly person inside and I pulled on the broken windshield and sunroof to try to get the driver out.
"He was lying on his side and his legs were lying in the well of the car. I asked him to lift his left leg because his legs were stuck and he said, "Where to go?"
"I suddenly realized that it was Prince Philip.
"When he lifted his left leg, there was room for his right leg to move.
"I arrived in the car, I put my hands under his armpits and gently removed him.
"He got up and was unhurt, but he was obviously very shocked.
"He was disoriented and humiliated. I think he was very sorry about what had happened. The sun was very low in the sky. Given his age, he was much more successful than the pbadengers of the other car.
Buckingham Palace said the Duke had not been hurt, but that he had consulted a doctor as a precaution.
One of the women in the other car had a presumed broken arm, the other injured one knee. The little boy was miraculously unharmed.
Roy, from Thornham near Hunstanton, said, "I started by going to the ladies' car because I thought the tank would go up and take the baby with him.
"His mother, who was driving, was naturally hysterical.
"She did very well. She managed to steer her car into the ditch. "
Roy was driving Victoria since her appointment at the hospital in King's Lynn.
It had just been given the green light for bad cancer.
He added, "This is definitely a day we will remember."
Duc de hasard
The duke's accident yesterday is not the first time he is caught in the act.
Philip left a wounded driver with a badlash after his Range Rover pbaded to the back of a Mercedes at a zebra crossing in Brandon, Suffolk, in January 1996.
Sales Manager Pat Daynes, whose car suffered £ 1,000 worth of damage, said, "I was living a normal life. Then I'm part of a royal soap opera. "
"There was a baby BABY SCREAMING"
A spokesman for Norfolk Police confirmed: "The driver of the Land Rover was not injured.
"The driver of the Kia suffered cuts while the pbadenger was injured on the arm, both requiring treatment at the hospital.
"We can confirm that the two wounded have been treated at King Elizabeth's Queen Elizabeth Hospital and have since been released.
"The current policy is to force the test pilots involved in the collisions to breathe. We can confirm that both pilots have been tested and provided negative readings. "
Prince Philip retired from public life in August 2017 after decades of supporting the Queen and attending events for his own charities and organizations.
