Sekondi MP Andrew Mercer is asking special prosecutor Martin Amidu to name the institutions he believes are hindering his work.
Mr Amidu complained of the heads of state institutions hindering his work in an article he had recently published.
On the big issue, Mr. Mercer said it's "important that he be clear about the type of people who hinder his work".
"For me, it was unfortunate that he did not specify the type of institution leaders. He should have put his finger on the head, "he added.
The MP also recalled that most of the public sector rot was actually not engaged by politicians.
"If you look at the Auditor General's report, he will tell you where we should focus on the fight against corruption. Are the people who run these institutions the same as the warning? [Special Prosecutor] to access information? "
What Amidu said
In his complaints, Mr. Amidu said that he could be forced to sue the state for the court to publish certain documents in order to facilitate the investigations.
"The Special Prosecutor's Office Act empowers the Bureau to compel the production of information and documents before the courts against any public institution that fails or refuses to honor its legitimate request. This office can also go to the High Court to compel the heads of the institutions to respect the laws in force in the fight against corruption. The consequence will be that, in accordance with the rules of civil procedure, this office will have to prosecute the attorney general as a representative of the state. "
By way of example, he added, there have also been instances in which government officials have been ingrained in his work by deliberately organizing simultaneous investigations "for the sole purpose of aborting investigations of corruption and corruption-related offenses ".
