Namibia has stopped giving second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to prioritize those who have not yet received their first vaccine as stocks dwindle.
The health ministry said it will redistribute its remaining stock of Covid-19 vaccines to areas where the number of virus cases and deaths is increasing.
The ministry said those who were due to receive their second dose will not be vaccinated until July, when new stocks arrive.
The Namibian news site reported that the country was running out of Sinopharm vaccine made in China.
The Health Department said it expects doses of AstraZeneca in July through the Covax program.
