President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo congratulated the people of Dagbon for their action to end decades of division in the region.
According to the President, today is a "happy day" for Ghanaians, as decades of tension and conflict have ended with the acceptance of the newly elected Ya-Naa, in the person of Savelugu Naa, Abubakari Mahama.
In his statement, the President also congratulated the royal families Andani and Abudu for successfully ensuring that the Ya-Naa Mahamadu Abdulai IV and Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani II funerals are held in a calm atmosphere.
