The President of Ghana’s speech on January 31 banned funerals, weddings, concerts, theatrical performances and parties until further notice.

Ghana also limits private burials to no more than 25 people.

Land and sea borders also remain closed until further notice as part of efforts to control the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in Ghana.

Nana Akufo-Addo’s speech at the 23rd Address to the Nation reveals that hospitals in Ghana are recording a full daily infection rate of 700 cases compared to two weeks ago, when the daily average was 200.

The total number of active Covid-19s has fallen from 1,900 cases two weeks ago to 5,358.

So far, Ghana has 65,427 cases of Covid-19, of which 405 people die.
