Nana Piabo launches a call for the completion of the market and the Jubilee School

18, GNA – Nana Kwaw Piabo IV, the traditional Tufuhene area of ​​Daboase, has
called on the East Wbada District Assembly to complete an abandoned market and
Jubilee School in Daboase, which transcended two governments.

He said the projects
started under the administration of Kufuor, but had not so far been
completed.

Tufuhene did the
appeal during a "social audit program" organized by the National Commission
for Civic Education (NCCE) with the support of the European Union at Daboase in
East Wbada district of the West region.

The participants were
civil society, traditional authorities, independent organizations
institutions of governance, the District Assembly, the High Technical College of Daboase
School and Association of Disabled Persons.

Others came from
Association of Hairdressers and Estheticians, Association of Apparel Makers and
Women of the market.

S addressing to the
meeting on "Social Audit", Mr. Andrew Acquah, District
Director of NCCE, said that it was part of a national awareness program
on the fight against corruption, the rule of law and responsibility.

He said social
The audit was an innovative mechanism to promote community ownership of
development projects, increased awareness of local government activities
and empowering the people to hold those responsible to account, to
strengthen citizen participation in local governance.

Mr. Acquah said a lot
