Alhbadan Suhuyini, Member of Parliament for Tamale North
Some chiefs in the traditional Nanton area have upset Tamale North MP Alhbadan Suhuyini for claiming tension in Nanton.
According to the leaders, the MP commented on TV3's morning show, adding that Dagbon had gone a long way and that it was time for politicians like him to stop using chieftaincy for political gain.
"If Suhuyini, for example, seeks political support from former Vo-Naa Bawa, a member of the State Council under the former NDC government, he should inform the Ghanaians," he said. they said.
They said that any force against their choice of Nanton Naa, Sulemana Haruna Tia, should be ready to kill Nanton's entire so that Mr Bawa could enter the region.
"We do not want Mr. Bawa in Nanton today, we do not want him every day," he said.
At a press conference organized by elders and leaders in Nanton yesterday, Iddrisu Ibrahim Anyas, Nanton's youth leader, said he was aware of the existence of a committee formed by the suzerain of Dagbon, Ya Naa, to recommend measures to resolve the impbade of Nanton.
