MILAN, Jan 26 (Reuters) – Napoli dominated in the second half but left San Siro frustrated after failing Saturday against AC Milan in a 0-0 draw in Serie A.
Napoli should have won when they had four men against two at the end of the game, but they conceded a pbad too much and the move ended with the shot by Piotr Zielinski saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Zielinski had two other efforts saved by the 19-year-old goalkeeper and the Polish midfielder also conceded another effort just inches from the foot of the post.
Napoli, with 48 points, cut the gap to eight points from Juventus before Turin's visit to Lazio on Sunday, while Milan is fourth with 35 points.
Napoli finished with 10 men after Fabian Ruiz received a second yellow card for handball in stoppage time although the ball seemed to touch his chest.
Shortly after, Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Napoli, received the order of the sideline because of his dissent.
Milan had two good chances in the second half but Franck Kessie's six-meter effort was deflected over the crossbar and goalkeeper David Ospina pushed Mateo Musacchio off with a brilliant reflex stop. (Report by Brian Homewood, edited by Tony Lawrence)
