Showtime has acquired the upcoming documentary series of the Wu-Tang clan. The four parts of Wu-Tang Clan: From microphones and men will be released later this spring. The first two episodes will make their first appearance at Sundance on January 28th. The series includes interviews with the nine current members of the iconic group, as well as archival footage and unpublished performances, illustrating Wu-Tang's rise to hip hop.

Nas recently shared this exciting news with her social media. "The day has come, we are proud to officially announce #OfMicsandMen, our final documentary on Wu-Tang," he wrote. "This project has lasted 18 intense months and it is almost time to share it with the world"

"The Wu-Tang clan is a founding group that deserves an essential documentary," said Vinnie Malhotra, vice president of programming at Showtime Networks. "Sacha Jenkins offers just that, reminding us not only of their powerful history through vintage images, but also their impact in a modern perspective that will make sense to their hardcore fans and music fans in general."

The production is directed by Sacha Jenkins, known for his directorial contributions to Fresh dressed, Burn Motherf * cker, Burn!, as well as his work as executive producer for Eminem rapture via Netflix. The Wu-Tang documentary is offered by Mbad Appeal in badociation with Endeavor Content. Peter J. Scalettar, Peter Bittenbender and Chris Gary are also executive producers.
