Former Emmerdale actress Natalie Anderson reveals she will star alongside stars Liam Neeson and Monica Bellucci in thriller Memory
Natalie Anderson said she was thrilled to land a movie role alongside international stars Liam Neeson and Monica Bellucci.
The former Emmerdale actress, 39, who played Alicia Metcalfe in the ITV soap opera between 2010 and 2015, is expected to appear in the thriller called Memory as Maryanne Borden.
The film is directed by Martin Campbell of Casino Royale and adapted from the novel De Zaak Alzheimer by Belgian writer Jef Geeraerts.
It tells the story of a assassin for hire who discovers he has become a target after refusing to complete a job for a dangerous criminal organization.

She said hello! magazine that she never thought cinema would be the next step, but said, “In my early twenties, the big screen was my goal.
“I hadn’t completely put him to bed, although I never really thought that the movies would be the next step for me at this point in my life.”
The stunned Natalie star admitted, “When I saw who was involved I thought, ‘Crikey, this is a big movie’, so of course I said yes.

“I felt so lucky to be working through what has been such a difficult time and being with this caliber of people was just amazing – 2021 is turning out so much better than I could have imagined.”

Anderson also announced plans to renew her vows with her husband James Shepherd, project manager and health and fitness trainer, with whom she has a son named Freddie.
She said: “Even though this will be our 14th year of marriage, the three of us as a collective will be celebrating 100 years between us – I’ll be 40 in October and next year James will be 50 and Freddie will be 10. He seems like the perfect time to celebrate.
She then discussed how she copes with the anxiety she has struggled with throughout her life.
“I always smiled and tried to be the carefree kind of girl but deep down it was horrible sometimes,” she said.
“No one has really talked about anxiety, depression or mental health issues, but the last decade has changed that so much.”
