My team and I would like to congratulate all of the MMDCEs appointed across the country, following the government’s official announcement.
It is obvious that your nominations have gone through a careful process to ensure that the Party and the Government carry out their development programs for your respective constituents.
Now is the time to immediately refocus and rally the support of your compatriots, competitors and detractors for the immense task that lies ahead.
I urge you all to draw larger circles to welcome everyone, especially those who may have opposed your candidacy.
All MMDCEs remain key players in ensuring that the NPP makes history in the next general election by working very hard to break the 8. Therefore, you must be magnanimous in your celebrations and conciliatory in your judgments.
I humbly call on all aspirants who might be disappointed, to regard the disapproval of their candidacy as a difficult test of loyalty and also a unique opportunity to demonstrate their unwavering support for the Party and the Government.
I also want to appeal to our hard-working young people in the New Patriotic Party NPP to consider how they can consolidate the gains of our party and the government.
We remain a big family of elephants and we cannot afford to take any measures that might harm each other, the Party or the Government. The future of Ghana under NPP government holds greater prospects for all of us. Let us stand united to break the 8.
