Damongo (S / R), July 23, GNA – The National
The Democratic Congress (NDC) of the Savannah region declared the operation
"No Pick-up, No Mercy" in protest to demand the immediate return of
the alleged Toyota Hilux stolen pickup belonging to the Savannah Regional
Coordination Council.

The NDC said it would team up with locals
from the region to undertake a series of demonstrations to demand the return of the
vehicle.

Mr. Malik Basintale, Communications Officer
NDC in the Savannah region, announced it at a press conference at
Damongo on Monday.

A Toyota Hilux Pickup, which was one of the
eight vehicles of President Nana Akufo-Addo presented at Savannah Regional
Coordination Council at the beginning of this year, has disappeared since the beginning of this
month.

The vehicle was used to send the Savannah
Regional Minister, Mr. Adam Salifu Braimah, at Tamale Airport, and on his
instructions, the vehicle was parked at his friend's house in Tamale.

However, the minister's friend said armed
the thieves attacked and took away the vehicle.

The case was reported to the police at
Tamale on 07 July and 16 July, police arrested the driver of the vehicle.

Mr. Basintale said that the NDC in the coming days
organize a series of events to protest the incident and ensure that the

He said that the demonstration would not only help

office, but also maintain the integrity and credibility of the region to help
attract potential investors.

He accused the regional minister of
the negligence and disobedience of the laws, calling into question his decision to park the
vehicle at his friend's house.

He congratulated the police for their efforts
with regard to the issue, urging them to continue their investigations into
the question.
