Koku Anyidoho of the NDC said his party would remain in opposition forever if the winner of the next Flags Race on Saturday, February 23, 2019 did not join the party.
He admitted that the party is "disunited" and if he does not defend a united front, they will remain forever in opposition.
Speaking at the morning show of Ghana's NEAT FM group "Ghana Montie", former party group leader "Umbrella" told Mac Jerry Osei Agyeman that "There is a huge task ahead, no matter what party our party chooses in 2020".
"There are seven aspirants and one of them will definitely win. The winner must personally call the rest of the contenders and bring them on board for 2020. The winner must warn his supporters not to ridicule others. We must be united for 2020, "said Koku Anyidoho.
Seven aspiring flag bearers of the National Democratic Congress will contest the party's presidential primary scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2019.
They understand; former President John Dramani Mahama, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin; former Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Joshua Alabi; Sylvester Mensah, former Executive Director of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA); former Trade Minister Ekwow Spio-Garbrah; Nurideen Iddrisu businessman and executive, Goosie Tanoh.
