Action Group Pro-National Democratic Congress (NDC), Action Movement put an end to the party secretary's dream of becoming a candidate for the vice presidency of John Dramani Mahama.
According to a statement issued and signed by James Agbey, the group observed that the party secretary did not have the right thing to be John Dramani Mahama's partner in the 2020 polls.
He added that the name of Asiedu Nketia, affectionately called General Mosquito, could not be taken into account anywhere for the slot indicating that he was offended by his antics.
"Action Movement wants to record that Asiedu Nkentia is not qualified for the post of vice-presidential candidate. The man simply lacks leadership qualities for unification and is bankrupt with his ideas, "the statement said.

The NDC Action Movement has taken notice of a number of media publications in which the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Secretary General, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has reportedly shown interest in the partnership with the NDC. our flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, as a vice-presidential candidate. for the 2020 elections.
We are also aware of the intense exchanges, lobbying and self-promotional gimmicks used in the NDC neighborhoods, all in order to attract the attention of the flag bearer and to affect his choice of candidate for vice-presidency.
Although we know too well that the name of Asiedu Nkentia CAN NOT and was NOT retained by the flag bearer, we need to set some records here.
Action Movement wants to record that Asiedu Nkentia is not qualified for the post of vice presidential candidate on the NDC ticket. The man simply lacks leadership qualities for unification and is bankrupt with his ideas.
The presidential candidate post does not come with the kind of jokes and primitiveness badociated with Asiedu Nkentia. It is not a question of wearing a winter jacket when visiting a foreign state.
The position of candidate for the vice presidency is more than the qualities possessed by Asiedu Nkentia, and we wish by this statement to warn all those who try to raise this above our national discourse to renounce such acts. suicidal.
The fact that many in our party applaud Asiedu Nkentia's apprehension of party issues should not give him a false sense of invincibility and entitlement.
Action Movement is seriously offended by Mr Nkentia's antics in the media. We have been NDCs forever and we think that the party is a pretty decent entity for people like Asiedu Nkentia to consider for his vice presidential candidate.
We want the salt of the Earth to lead the party. Asiedu Nkentia is definitely not one of those people. He is known for so many vile, vicious and derogatory comments in our body politic. Such a man of confidence in a film of fire, with no morale, can not even dream of rising to the high office of vice-president.
The NDC can certainly do better than Asiedu Nkentia and his ilk.
Let's finish the jokes now and let's get rid of this nightmare.
We also call on the flag bearer, John Mahama, to remain focused and select a credible, tenacious and honest person – an intellectual and unifying force that would bring many injured members and floating voters aboard the NDC train.
