A party activist, the new patriotic party, Atick Yakubu, accuses the Democratic National Congress, the opposition party, of being at the origin of the militancy of Ghanaian politics.

In a long article copied on MyNewsGh.com, Atick Yakubu says that while it is necessary to tackle global vigilance in a non-partisan way, one must not forget its genesis.

Recalling various cases in which the NDC had denounced acts of violence to members of the NPP, he thanked Akufo-Addo for taking steps to put an end to all this.

"In the 2009 elections in the six polling stations of Akwatia, the NDC had invited thugs into the city to provoke Mayhem. They blocked the main road in front of their constituency office and beat anyone who was a member of the NPP, as well as our big wigs that were pbading and those who were lucky had their windshields broken by stones. I have witnessed that. There was a case where my brother and I had to fight for life because a woman identified us as the son of the riding president. She ordered us to be beaten by the thugs they had imported into the city on metropolitan buses. They did not come in pick-up but in metropolitan mbad. That was how ugly it was. It was the impunity that they exhibited.

Those who were in Talensi will also tell you their story. In Atiwa, Anita De Souso drove her tundra through party followers as though they were snakes. I believe that even though it was goats or goats, she would have a little patience to cross them, but NO, they were NPP people in her way. In his eyes, they are inferior to animals.

At Amenfi West, those who have been beaten will tell you their story. Our party faithful have been beaten in all aspects of our politics. Even our members have not been spared on the student front. From NUGS to SRC, there are signs of severe beatings and intimidations

I'm not trying to justify dynamism. I just want everyone to know where it started. We never had political vigilance until the six polling stations of Akwatia and Atiwa.

This is what led to the famous statements "Atiwa mpo y3 kyer3) mo Kakra" and the unfortunate comment "All die, die". What I do know is that governments used security forces to intimidate and intimidate opposition parties until the NDC began exercising vigilance in 2009.

The difference between us and them is that we have a president who has taken steps to put an end to political vigilance by setting up a committee to investigate the events that took place during the elections in Ayawaso West. I can say with authority that those who were beaten by national security were thugs of Delali Bempong's house. He had more than 50 in his house just to wreak havoc and ensure that our elections would not be successful.

Even if God had told Delali and the NDC that they would win the elections by universal suffrage, they would not have believed it. For them, the only option was to ransack the electoral center and the election would have been postponed. In summary, the four people who launched this operation were unfortunately greeted by the national security agents. The nuclear plant could not tell its story, because the NDC was eager to attack the media and the whole story had changed.
