The National Democratic Congress (NEC) has launched one of its campaign strategies for the 2020 elections, dubbed the "2020 Door to Door Campaign for John Dramani Mahama".

The launch took place in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency in the Greater Accra region, with an appeal to party leaders to redouble their efforts to help fight the power of the new Patriotic Party (NPP) in power .

The door-to-door campaign was part of the party's implementation of Professor Kwesi Botchwey's committee report and also aimed at ensuring unity and cohesion at the grbadroots level, as recommended by the committee prior to the 2020 general election. .

The main goal of the door-to-door campaign is to ensure that all voters are aware of the CND's policies and fully understand them before the general elections of 2020.

At the launch, Joshua Akamba, the party's national organizer, advised party leaders to pay special attention to the grbadroots members in order to attract more supporters to the NDC.

He added that the new strategy would help the party step up its efforts to win more seats in parliament and get more votes for the party's presidential candidate.

The launch brought together most NDC polling station and constituency officials, Elikplim Akuru, parliamentary candidate for the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, as well as party gurus who said they were supposed to develop a strategy for the 2020 general election.

Akamba also called on supporters and supporters of the party to unite so that the task of uprooting power from the ruling NPP is easy, stating that "our party is not only focused on the level.

Former President John Mahama suffered the worst possible electoral defeat, the first ever organized for a current president under the Fourth Republic, in the 2016 general election. He was able to poll 44.40% of the vote against 53, 85% for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
