Former Communications Minister Edward Omane Boamah was among the 700 delegates to vote this morning in the New Juaben North constituency, as part of the flag contest held since then, which took place from peaceful way.
Speaking to reporters at the polling center, Omane Boamah was confident, his former leader, John Mahama, will be victorious, saying his victory would rejuvenate the party's base before the 2020 elections.
The former Communications Minister mentioned, his respect for all candidates is indisputable, but given the current situation, John Mahama is the best option to help secure electricity by 2020.
He went on to point out that the Ghanaians needed the NDC to be reinstated to regain their hopes disappointed by the Akufo-Addo administration and therefore could not afford to disappoint them.
Reacting to allegations made by Professor Joshua Alabi and Alban Bagbin that seals were sealed on ballot papers, Mr. Boamah asked the general public to disregard the images on social media that were supposed to be ballots for the elections.
Addressing this, he expressed his disgust at the way in which evil members of society had planned to spread false information and videos in order to create fear and panic.
"I've seen some fake packages on social media and everything in. You're here, did you see any of these things? Sometimes we have to fix some of those things," he said.
Professor Joshua Alabi and Second Deputy Speaker Alban Kingsford, Sumani Bagbin, insisted that the polls be temperate.
The two NDC flag bearers claimed that the seals on the bags containing the ballot papers for the party primaries in the presidency of tomorrow had been falsified.
Omane Boamah also expressed satisfaction with the smooth manner in which the police handled the elections.
About 260,000 delegates are expected to vote in the 275 constituencies across the country.
Seven people including Goosie Tanoh, former President Mahama, Professor Joshua Alabi, Alban Sumanu Bagbin, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Sylvester Mensah and Alhaji Nurudeen Iddrisu vie for the only right to lead the NDC in elections of 2020.
