Voters waiting in the Ningo-Prampram constituency
THE NATIONAL The presidential primary of the Democratic Congress in the district of Ningo-Prampram of the Greater Accra region was struck with confusion.
DGN Online Vincent Kubi reported from the constituency that the names of three polling stations have disappeared.
It is reported that only 89 out of 92 registered branches are available.
Constituency President Michael Tetteh, who provided the details to DGN Online, said he was waiting for the NDC national officials to visit the constituency and solve the problem.
The constituency president said he had submitted a register of 92 offices but only 89 were presented for the elections.
Delegates whose names are missing from the register are harmed and confusing.
The representatives of Goosie Tanoh and Professor Joshua Alabi, two of the seven aspirants, have so far filed a protest.
According to the DGN Online correspondent, constituency voters are unhappy and express dissatisfaction.
Ade Coker, NDC regional president in the Greater Accra region, attributed the problem to "a typo" by asking delegates to remain calm while they take the time to deal with the problem.
He asked the EC to start the elections until the situation is resolved.
