A 40-year-old woman died in the Asawase district of Ashanti as she danced on the version of the NDC's 'Bobolebobo' campaign song.

The dramatic incident occurred in the Asawasi Central Mosque on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in the afternoon, as party delegates converged in the area awaiting the arrival of the aspiring flag-bearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, as part of his campaign tour in the area.

Alhaji Taabso, a reporter for Ultimate FM, said, "While awaiting the arrival of former President Mahama on the parking lot of the Kumasi Central Mosque, Manuna and his colleagues were all dancing on the songs of our party. Unfortunately, she fell unexpectedly. We quickly took her to the government hospital in Manhyia, but she did not survive, "he said.

Mugis Mahdi, secretary of the Asawase constituency for the NDC, described the deceased as an active and loyal member of the party, a fun of former president John Dramani Mahama.

"In fact, the death of Mamuna is very shocking, even if she was sick, she went to the scene of the campaign because of the love she had for the former president. The former president visited the family in mourning this morning with a delegation for mourning before the Islamic prayer for the deceased. Since then, she has been buried according to the Islamic tradition, "he said.
