– NDC member Alex Mold said he was not interested in becoming John Mahama's vice presidential candidate for the 2020 elections

– He explained that the idea had never crossed his mind and that he would reject it if it was offered to him.

– It's because he thinks others can play this role competently

Alex Mold, former chief executive officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), said he was not ready to become a candidate for the vice presidency of the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama.

In an interview, he explained that even though he has good qualities to become the candidate for the vice presidency, he did not let himself go to accept him if he was Free.

Giving the characteristics of who makes a good racing companion, he says "I think anyone who will help John Mahama and the NDC must have strong leadership qualities and must have a solid knowledge of the economy."

According to a report from Mynewsgh.com, he explained that he preferred to give back and help, especially in a situation where his role was clearly explained to him.

YEN.com.gh understands that a number of names have been cited as possible companions to Mahama.

Marrietta Appiah-Opong Brew, former Attorney General, Kwesi Ahwoi, former Ghanaian Minister of Agriculture and High Commissioner in South Africa, Dr. Johnson Asiama, former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Julius Debrah, former a former chief of staff and Hannah Tetteh, a former foreign minister.

The others are Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Dr. Kwesi Botchwey, Chairman of Mahama's National Development Planning Commission, and Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, MP.
