Actor Bill Asamoah
Amandzeba Fiifi Smith, a show critic and film producer, called the appointment of Bill Asamoah as a tourism ambbadador with great disappointment for the creative arts community.
According to him, Bill Asamoah, who is also president of the chapter of the region of the Actors Guild Ashanti, is a strong supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who planned to end the campaign led by Nana Addo in 2016.
Speaking on Abusua Fm based in Kumasi, Amandzeba said: "Bill Asamoah does not have to say that he is here or there, but again, these were people who were working in hiding in 2016, Bill Asamoah was one of those who ran the clandestine campaign for Mahama "
But Bill Asamoah, who was immediately called to the show, denied having campaigned for the NDC or former president John Dramani Mahama, adding that he only served the government and not the parties policies.
Amandzeba insisted in his previous affirmations "I tell you emphatically that at that time, they walked in the corridors of what is called the room of Mahama".
In 2017, the Ministry of Tourism has appointed 30 celebrity tourism ambbadadors.
Among the 30 ambbadadors are Agya Koo, Nana Kwame Ampadu, Okyeame Kwame, Van Vicker, Fuse ODG, D-Black and Pa John Bentsifi Dadson.
Praye, Andy Dosty, SP Kofi Sarpong, Fancy Gadam, Bibi Bright, among others.
