According to California State, 127 employees and 71 student employees were instructed to stay at home and avoid contact with other quarantined persons. The Los Angeles County Public Health Department said students and quarantined personnel are also asked to inform the department if they develop measles symptoms.
"For people exposed to a confirmed case of measles who have not been able to provide proof of two doses of measles immunization or laboratory-verified immunity, a decree of the person in charge of the Health for quarantine was issued, "said the Los Angeles County Public Health Department in a statement.
Quarantines could last up to 21 days, according to the ministry.
