The nominations for the Logie Awards have been revealed – and that's good news for Neighbors, but especially for the actress Eve Morey.
Earlier this year, Eve's favorite Sonya Rebecchi left the Australian soap opera after 10 years a heartbreaking cancer story, and the actress has now received accolades for the most popular actress and Gold Logie.
The latter is a truly prestigious award, Down Under, presented to the most popular personality on the whole of Australian television. So it's very cool to see an actress from soap operas being named – and you can look at the moment Eve finds out that she's also been nominated below:
"It's very strange," she said after initially bursting with nervous laughter. "It's very, very strange, but thank you, thank you again.
"I can not even imagine that the work would be recognized in this way."
Neighbors has been nominated four more times for awards, with Ryan Moloney for the most popular actor, Bonnie Anderson for the Graham Kennedy Award for Best New Talent and the soap opera himself for the most outstanding drama series and the most popular drama program.
Meanwhile, At home and on the outside has also received nominations at this year's Logie Awards, with Courtney Miller for New Talent, Ray Meagher for the role of the most popular actor and the soap opera himself for the most popular drama.
