Neville encouraged to "try a little" to manage Man Utd

Gary Neville was supported by Phil Brown to manage Manchester United.

The position of Permanent Director of United is currently being studied, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at his auditionwhile Mauricio Pochettino remains at the center of Ed Woodward's concerns.

But Brown, who currently heads the Indian Super League club, Pune City, believes Neville should put his hat in the ring.

"I think the clbad of 92 has to play the next role," Brown said. Love Sport Radio.

"I'm not talking about Beckham or Ryan Giggs, who is already cutting his teeth at the international level. I'm talking about Gary Neville.

"He dipped a bit in the water in Valencia. It did not work for him, but it was a very big challenge for his first job.

"But Gary Neville has great experience in terms of management opinions.

"So go ahead and go a little bit to Manchester United! This is your club, go for it!
