Fast City, S.D. (KOTA, TV) – A committee of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommends the H-P-V vaccine to all 27 to 45 year olds.
People aged 27 to 45 could benefit from the HPV vaccine.
The vaccine is designed to prevent a type of cancer transmitted through badual contact.
Originally, the vaccine was recommended for preadolescents, but the Health Advisory Committee now says it could be beneficial for older age groups.
Currently, there is a two-part vaccination for younger people, but for adults, it will be a three-part vaccine.
