The road connects Teshie Lascala, Agblizaa and the Manet Estate to Spintex Road, thus constituting an important link within and outside the region.

Residents and commuters were right to complain about the bad shape of the road, decrying the potholes that are growing and growing by the day as well as the unbearable dust that it generates.

Patients who go to the LEKMA Hospital, located along the stretch, still have to endure the discomfort of bumpy walks on the potholed stretch.

Due to the nature of the road, it is also difficult for emergencies to rush to or from the hospital, as drivers must always slow down to not aggravate their condition.

Almost all the surfaces of the LEKMA hospital are covered with dust, the operating theater also having its fair share.

On-site contractor

Oppong Nkrumah said that the company, in consultation with the ministry of the sector, had already mobilized a contractor to go there.

Cocoa road project

The Minister of Information also said that under the "Cocoa Project" initiative, the government had mobilized 3 billion GH ¢ for the construction of cocoa production roads across the country.

The project, which began under the previous government, was suspended in July 2017 by COCOBOD due to discrepancies and financial irregularities in the award of certain contracts.

After nearly two years of difficulties, the Ministry of Roads and Roads, he said, will now resume work on abandoned projects from the second half of this year.
