The couple, 96-year-old James K. Andorful, and 93-year-old Margaret Manuel, became friends after more than 50 years together, resulting in nine children. Donning White Apparels Mr. and Mrs. Andorful exchanged their wedding vows in front of the altar unofficially presided over by the pastor of the Dansoman District of the Pentecostal Church, Reverend James Oko Barnor.

He lamented the recent increase in the number of divorces in Ghana and a phenomenon that has largely blamed the discontent of couples. He said that marriages have survived in the past because couples were happy with the little things they had and understood each other regardless of the circumstances.

He therefore advised young people in particular not to compare their marriages with others and rather to appreciate what God has given them to maintain their marriages.
