New Jersey high school has adapted Alien for its spring play

Like something Rushmore or Bob's Burgers, a group of highly motivated students and teachers from New Jersey staged an elaborate play inspired by Ridley Scott's clbadic sci-fi movie Extraterrestrial earlier this week as spotted by The AV club. This is not your typical game from spring to high school.

The drama at the North Bergen High School Theater Club took place on November 19 and 22, and a student at the school released details about the production on Reddit. They noted that he follows the plot of the film, "with some scenes added to waste time on scene changes" (which apparently included the Xenomorph walking among members of the audience). The school has put together a trailer for production earlier this month.

What is remarkable in the project is the level of detail of the costumes and sets. On his face, Extraterrestrial It's not a simple story to tell, with complicated costumes and special effects. Despite the technical difficulties, the piece included scenes such as Kane's implantation and, later, death by chest, and sets like the Space Jockey.

"The chest has someone under the table. There is a separate person who has a false head for Ash to attack others. And there is someone in one of the eggs that holds a facehugger and throws it on the person who plays Kane. "

Students also created the Xenomorph and space suit costumes, as well as sets that included airlock doors that opened and closed. In addition, the student says that the school did not pay for it: it was the students themselves who raised the funds and built their accessories and costumes from recycled materials.

The entire production seems to be a great show of creativity, and it's a huge step from your usual springtime high school production. Maybe next year they will try extraterrestrials.
