The star of Ajax youth, Dillon Hoogewerf, has decided to leave the club, confirmed the Dutch champions, and is expected to join Manchester United in the coming days.
The 16-year-old is considered one of the top strikers among Ajax youths, with 10 goals and six badists for under-17s this season.
He has also joined the under-19s and played in the UEFA Youth League, but is expected to be announced as the last youngster of Ajax to have been poached by United.
The head of youth education in Ajax Said Ouaali confirmed on the official website of the club: "Dillon announced last week that he would leave the club.
"He is going to a foreign club, we wish him every success and know that we have done everything to keep him.

"He can finally make the choice and choose a foreign adventure."
According to Dutch sources, Hoogewerf would have chosen to sign his first professional contract with United, becoming his first summer signing – and the first of the reign of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer -.

United has recruited a number of outstanding young talents from Ajax in recent years, including Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Millen Baars.
Hoogewerf was named the best player of last summer's Marveld tournament against youth teams such as Barcelona, Atletico and PSV, while also scoring nine goals.
We know that Solskjaer wants to strengthen the United team with more young talents this summer, as he reorganizes the team with no less than five new players, although Hoogewerf is really a pledge of the future.
