Remember when we had to have three X Men movies released in 2018? Well, we had Deadpool 2 – twice, actually – but Dark Phoenix and The new mutants have both been postponed until this year. DP should land in June as planned, although initial reactions are certainly not positive, but we have not had an update on this. New mutants for ages. So, is it still planned to release in theaters in August?
Apparently not, according to a source. Scott Bechtel, of Merc with A Podcast, says that a split between Fox and director Josh Boone should delay the release of the film. It seems that there are currently two options under discussion at the studio: a possible film release in November or a release on Hulu in October.
I just heard a murmur through the vineyard. #newmutants will be delayed again. Fox & Boone have a hard time finding a finished and understandable product. They are looking to release it in early November. But…

Fox is still playing with a Hulu outing in October for #newmutants. They are trying to decide which method would have a more recoverable value for a film otherwise dead on arrival.

This information should be considered a mere rumor at this stage, but it should be noted that we have heard about the creative differences between Boone and Fox several times before. It seems after The new mutants The trailer debuted in October 2017 and was a treat, the studio decided to revive the film to increase the content of the horror. However, the director was already satisfied with the cup he had previously delivered.
In addition to – or perhaps because of – this conflict, these many scheduled rehearsals for the film never took place, although they are supposed to be deleted last September. They also had major projects for rehearsals, including adding a brand new character to Warlock and exchanging the post-credit scene for a character starring Antonio Banderas. But we can badume that this does not happen now.
If it's really something they're considering, maybe it's better than Fox's The new mutants on Hulu as a curiosity for X-Men fans to search and do with.
