One of the first projects announced at Pixar Animation Studios’ Walt Disney Company Investor Day in December is set to debut soon, and today we got a sneak peek thanks to a new trailer. Popcorn Pixar, coming soon to Disney +.
What is happening:
- Pixar Popcorn, come Disney + in January 2021, is a collection of mini-shorts featuring Pixar characters in all-new bite-sized stories created by the talented animators at Pixar.
- Each mini-short tells a quick story featuring favorite characters from many Pixar animated films.
- A new trailer released today gives us a little sneak peek at some of these short stories that span the breadth of the Pixar universe, including short films based on:
- Toy story 4
- Soul
- Cars
- Finding Dory
- coco
- Incredibles 2
- Pixar Popcorn was announced by Pixar Creative Director Pete Docter during Walt Disney Company Investors Day in December, which saw numerous announcements emanating from Pixar Animation Studios, including upcoming films in theaters as well titles exclusively for Disney + which also included Days dug, Win or lose, and a new series based on Cars.
- Pixar Popcorn debuts on Disney + on January 22.
