We have all been there. 16h. The eyes become heavy. Make war on your subconscious to know if this 25th white dish is worth it.
Well, look no further! According to a new study, it is prudent to consume 25 cups of coffee a day without causing significant damage to the heart.
Although drinking 25 cups of coffee is not likely to damage your heart, high consumption of caffeine certainly damages other body systems.
The information was presented at the British Cardiovascular Society conference earlier this week and has not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal. The research involved a sample of 8,500 coffee drinkers, who were then compared to non-coffee drinkers.
Although the side effects of coffee for all eternity have been debated, recent developments have shown that coffee consumption has many health benefits, including better heart health and longevity.
That said, drinking more than 400 milligrams of caffeine a day can lead to headaches, stomach and liver problems, nervousness and dangerously high blood pressure.
Although this study has managed to eliminate one of the potential adverse effects of coffee consumption, no one recommends 25 (at least not in this economy).
