Rafa Benitez downplayed rumors that he would return to Valencia in La Liga one day – but admits that the last chapter of his career remains unclear.
His current contract at Newcastle United is exhausted at the end of the season and Benitez has said in the past that he wanted to participate in a project.
As Valencia prepared to celebrate its centenary, Benitez, speaking to Marca, was asked about the fact that he would like to have another chance to work in Mestalla.
He said: "I have a lot of respect for the Valencia coach, I have ten years of football left and you never know where I will finish.
"I have not repeated work in my career."

Benitez was also asked to tackle the biggest teams in the Premier League.
But while Benitez admitted that a winning title team in Leicester City had earned his respect, he knew how hard it had to be.
"It's very complicated because the difference, even if you're doing badly as a coach, is corrected by the players."
"Maybe you can surprise them when they're in the Champions League and the thing in Leicester was a huge feat."
Asked about his previous achievements in Valencia, Benitez said he is proud to win a series of trophies.
He said: "I feel emotion and pride because in the end, these are years and triumphs.
"We had something very complicated because we did not have money.
