Newmont Ghana is the "Most Consistent Taxpayer for 2018" – GRA

Accra, March 29, GNA – Newmont Ghana has been
receives the most compliant taxpayer award for 2018 at Ghana's annual revenue conference
AU Staff and Stakeholder Award Ceremony (GRA) in Accra.

The award also recognized Newmont's work
significant contribution to the mobilization of Ghana's domestic tax revenues and
to be a good source of employment for many Ghanaians.

In a quote accompanying the price, GRA
describes Newmont's level of compliance in 2018 as "overwhelming";
"You are among the companies that regularly produce annual returns for all
employees. Your contributions to tax revenues and job creation have been won
the admiration of Ghana's tax authority ".

In 2018, Newmont Ghana paid a total of
783 million GH ¢ of taxes and forest taxes to the Government of Ghana through
the GRA and the Forestry Commission.

In 2017, Newmont was ranked overall
Best taxpayer, to be discharged of his financial obligations towards
Government of Ghana, respect for Ghana's tax laws and the willingness to
support the GRA's tax collection and compliance improvement initiatives.

"We
will continue to support the efforts of the GRA tax administration and believes that
thanks to ongoing collaboration with the Government of Ghana, our regulators
and host communities, Newmont Ghana will operate sustainably, create value and
improve lives, "said Tula Zeng, Acting Regional Director of Finance,
Newmont Africa.

Newmont says that he's committed to operating
ethically and in accordance with the law while creating long-term value for all
