Before meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Trump noticed that his wife, Melania, was amazed by the country and especially by the great pyramids. Trump insisted that the First Lady had been "treated with beauty" during her stay in Egypt. Melania visited the country during her visit to four African countries, including Malawi, Kenya and Ghana.

In a tweet at the time, Melania said, "We had an amazing experience visiting the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx in Egypt last week.

"Thank you to President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and the First Lady Entissar Amer for hosting me with such hospitality."

Speaking earlier this week, the US president continued to praise Egypt during his meeting with Mr al-Sisi to discuss trade and terrorism with the Egyptian leader.

Speaking in particular about his wife's trip to the Great Pyramids, Trump revealed that not only was she hard to impress, but it was one of the most incredible things she saw.

Trump said, "What she saw with the pyramids was – you could call it the seventh wonder or the eighth wonder of the world.

"She thought it was unbelievable. She thought it was one of the most incredible things she saw.

"We have a lot of pictures, and it was a nice day and a good time to see the pyramids – the big pyramids.

"So, let's hope a lot of people will watch them. But she is not easily impressed; she was very impressed.

Aside from Melania's trip to the North African country, Trump has expressed his desire to tackle the origins of the person who led Robert Mueller to open an investigation into the president.

Attorney General William Barr announced this week that he was forming a team to review controversial decisions made during the Trump investigation.

Trump himself has called Mr. Mueller's investigation of "coup attempt".

He concluded: "It was an attempt to resign a president. And we beat them. We beat them.

"So, the Mueller report, when they talk about obstruction, we shoot back, and do you know why we are fighting back?"

"Because I knew how all this was illegal, it was a scam."
