The 21-year-old still impressed during his 150th appearance at Manchester United and his new boss prompted him to become a big star
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed Manchester United's Marcus Rashford so that he becomes a "top clbad" striker like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
The 21-year-old scored his 41st goal in his 150th appearance at the club, which beat Brighton 2-1 on Saturday, marking a younger leg than legends United, Ronaldo and Rooney.
The England international played a key role in preserving Solskjaer's perfect start as interim manager, scoring five goals in six games since the Norwegian replaced Jose Mourinho in December.

Solskjaer has been impressed by Rashford since his arrival and is convinced that he can become one of the best in the world.
"He is only 21 years old, but his maturity is sometimes over 21 years and his pace of work," Solskjaer told reporters. "If you look at the statistics, it's been said that he's younger than Ronaldo and Rooney to reach 150 appearances for Manchester United."
The coach was asked if he thought Rashford could reach the same level as the two United icons, he said, "Certainly, he can be absolutely clbady.
"The more goals you score, the more likely you are to trust yourself and find yourself in the same positions.
"The way he works during the week is fantastic because he practices a lot."
The 45-year-old has been impressed by Rashford's attitude on the pitch as well and is happy to be able to count on local boys like him and Jesse Lingard.
"It's a real man," he added. "You can not kick him and keep him on the ground, he will fight to fight and defend himself and defend his teammate.

"It's a pleasure to work with him. He and Jesse – I must say that you love these real Mancs. I worked with Jesse and I saw Marcus arrive.
"They like each other's company, they socialize a lot. When we travel, they are always together.
"On the ground, they understood. this has just been achieved by Paul McGuiness and Jimmy Ryan. They had the coaches and know how we want a Manchester United player. They understand each other.
