Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers warned Manchester United that there is a "breaking point" where the club will no longer consider selling Harry Maguire this summer.

The former boss of Celtic confirmed earlier this week that Leicester had rejected two offers from two clubs this summer.

The bid comes from Manchester United and Manchester City, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team leads the race and is willing to pay higher fees than their local rivals.

United should test the water again over the next ten days, but Rodgers warned the Red Devils that they would not take the bids into consideration beyond a certain point this summer.

"There will be a cutoff point," warns Rodgers.

"We can not let it go – there are goals we have in mind if Harry had to move on, but we do not have to sell.

"If the badessment is not respected, it certainly will not be allowed to go to the end because if we wanted to bring in someone, it would be too late.

"So, there will be a point – even if the badessment is completed – it may be too late."

Last weekend, it was announced that Lewis Dunk, ace of Brighton, was premature.

Leicester is however on the radar to replace Maguire and Rodgers admits he is a fan.

"There was speculation on 52 players that we apparently wanted in the last count and Lewis was one of them," Rodgers said.

"I know Lewis and his qualities well. But there has been speculation about a lot, a lot of players – some I do not know who they are!
