Worrying for United, Fernandes revealed a penchant for their bitter rivals, Liverpool, earlier this week.

"I like Liverpool very much [than Man City]. It's more direct [style of play]more offensive, perhaps less organized, but more intense football, "he told Record.

"City, without the ball, has the intensity of eleven and may, in a moment of pressure, put the [opposing] the team in a corner and ends up stealing the ball.

"In Liverpool, it's more individual players, especially in the middle of the field, who usually play three very aggressive players and recover the ball."
