Manchester United has scheduled imminent talks with Sporting Lisbon to get an agreement on the line with Bruno Fernandes, according to reports in Portugal.
Fernandes made an outstanding campaign for Sporting, scoring 31 goals in 50 games, and Europe's elite clubs line up to sign the 24-year-old midfielder.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified Fernandes as one of the main targets of United this summer, but the Red Devils are facing competition from Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham for the highly prized Portuguese international.
according to A bolaUnited are desperate to defeat their rivals against Fernandes and have called for a meeting with Sporting to reach an agreement "as soon as possible".
According to the report, United is willing to spend between 70 and 80 million euros for Fernandes and the club now hopes to land the former star of Sampdoria.

Fernandes has not hidden his dream of playing in the Premier League and United will use it to his advantage during negotiations.
"If an irrefutable proposal for me comes and it's good for the club, let's get together and decide together," he said last month.
"I always said that I was an ambitious player and I dreamed very early to play in England, where you can live pure football without much controversy, no big deal.
Fernandes added: "Now, none of the other leagues, Germany, Spain and Italy, are also very good and ambitious.
"But as I said, I'm good at sport and now I'm focusing on the cup.
"Then I want to make a good pre-season and if something comes up, I'm available to do what's best for the club."
Worrying for United, Fernandes revealed a penchant for their bitter rivals, Liverpool, earlier this week.
"I like Liverpool very much [than Man City]. It's more direct [style of play]more offensive, perhaps less organized, but more intense football, "he told Record.
