Neymar celebrates with crutches on his birthday while he misses the tie Man Utd

Brazilian superstar Neymar could be hurt for the moment – but he has not let that bother his 27th birthday celebrations.

The Paris Saint-Germain star even wore red theme crutches for his birthday in the French capital while he refused to let his injury make him lose his head.

The former man from Barcelona organized a glittering birthday party with some well-known names among the 200 guests to celebrate his last milestone.

At the "Red Night" themed event, Neymar greeted the guests on the red carpet with his colorful crutches, blazer and hat.

He would have been about to cancel the protest while he was preparing to stay away until mid-April, but finally decided to try and get him cheer up by celebrating anyway.

"What I most wanted as a birthday present today, it's a new metatarsal for me to be able to fight on the pitch and do what I love most, play to football, "he said in a speech delivered by ESPN on a birthday.

"It's very difficult to be on crutches all the time. Every athlete knows how difficult it is.

"They (his teammates PSG) give me all the strength to help me get home as soon as possible."

The skipper of Paris Saint-Germain and his Brazilian teammate Thiago Silva, as well as former Manchester United man Angel Di Maria, were also present, as well as the Brazilian surf world champion Gabriel Medina.

The event took place at Pavillon Gabriel, near the Champs-Elysees, in the French capital.

The Brazilian also received a special birthday gift from Beats by Dr Dre, teaming with the giants of the helmet to create a special set tailored for fans in the spring.

Inspired by the graffiti style of his hometown of Sao Paulo and featuring his iconic No.10 inside the headband, guests of his birthday party have received a headset, which will be available for the Apple.com at the beginning of March.

Neymar should miss both rounds of the Champions League tie with Manchester United (16), as the club takes a conservative approach to recovery to avoid further damage.
