Neymar "cried for two days" after getting hurt right foot a second time in January, he said on Brazilian television, according to an excerpt from an interview broadcast Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Paris Saint-Germain star admitted that hurting the same metatarsal that he had injured in February 2018, requiring surgery, was serious.
"It's more complicated." The first time I hurt myself, I said: "I'm going to have surgery, it needs to be repaired as soon as possible." I was not sad, "he told Globo TV.
"This time, I took more trouble, I cried for two days at home."
The injury suffered during the victory of the Coupe de France on Strasbourg on January 23 put the Brazilian striker away for 10 weeks. PSG hopes that he will be healed enough to return to the field in time for a possible quarterfinal of the Champions League in April.
This time, the club's medical staff opted for conservative treatment of the fracture rather than for another operation.
Last year, Neymar was immobilized for three months after surgery, returning just in time to compete in the World Cup in a form less than sparkling.
His full interview with Globo TV will be broadcast on March 3rd.
