Manchester United's hopes in the Champions League could have been revived after what appeared to be an ugly injury to the superstar Paris Saint-Germain Neymar.
The Brazilian seemed in tears as he left the field an hour after the clash of the Coupe de France between PSG and Strasbourg.
The most expensive player in the world seemed badly twisted his right ankle and was treated on the ground.
Neymar then limped and was replaced by Moussa Diaby. He looked distraught as he left the field and ran his hands over his eyes.
On February 12, the French champions will face United in the first leg at Old Trafford in the Champions League first leg of the first leg. The return match will take place on March 6th.
This is the second big fear of injury for PSG in recent days. Midfielder Marco Verratti is also unsure of form after the Italian injured himself in his team's 9-0 win over Guingamp.
"He is seriously injured," said director Thomas Tuchel at the end of the match. "It's the worst thing that can happen to us."
PSG published an official statement on its website on Sunday, saying: "Marco Verratti's MRI scan after the game against Guingamp confirmed a twisted left ankle without further damage.
"The evolution of the injury over the next few days with the treatment and additional exams will allow the club to determine the time it will take the player to fully recover."
PSG may not have enough options for the midfielder when he goes to United if Verratti is not back in the past, while the highly sought after Adrien Rabiot is currently blocked by Tuchel.
