NEYMAR was ruled out of the clash between the Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United champions league because of a foot injury.
The Brazilian star can not weigh heavily on his right foot and will miss the clashes of the first leg of the last 16 games at Old Trafford on February 12, according to RMC Sport.
PSG will host United's return match on March 6th, but it is unclear whether Neymar will be in good form.
Neymar cried after suffering a metatarsal injury to his right foot during the victory of the Coupe de France against Strasbourg on Tuesday.
The former Barcelona ace, who also fractured a metatarsal right foot in February, has been great this season for the leaders of Ligue 1 with 20 goals and 10 badists.
The 26-year-old suffered surgery for his injury last year and fought to return to his country at the World Cup in Russia.
Midfielder Marco Verratti is already on the sidelines while he is healing his own ankle injury after being injured at the last game against Guingamp.
PSG leader Thomas Tuchel admitted after the shock that he feared things would not go well.
He said, "It's too early to tell Neymar. He started receiving treatment, we have to wait until next week.
"His treatment will depend on the evolution of the injury in the coming days. The fact that Neymar and Marco are injured is a deplorable situation for us.
"We have to find solutions, collectively, to keep winning."
