NFL players from almost every team are testing a new type of helmet made in 3D printing. Each Riddell helmet is made to measure for a player based on the scan of his head. Silicon Valley Carbon, based on Silicon Valley, prints seven resin pads for the inside of the helmet, each with a unique lattice pattern that folds and matches the exact shape of the player's head.
