The government described the Democratic National Congress as false cruel accusations that the national health insurance scheme was about to collapse.

According to the government, the NDC is committing misdeeds and deliberately misinforming the people of Ghana.

The government's response comes after the NDC said on Monday that the NPP illegally transferred more than 17 million GHc from National Health Insurance Fund funds to a private equity fund, All Time Capital Investment, claims the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC's national communications officer, said on Monday at the Moment of Truth series in Accra that risk management and due diligence had not been taken before the deal.

Gyamfi said the fund was collapsing despite the government's claim that it had cleared its debt from the plan.

On Tuesday, April 16, Vice Minister of Information Pius Hadzide also questioned the NDC's claim that the NHIA was engaged in unnecessary investment.

According to him, the administration headed by Mahama had started in July 2012 with the same company, All Time Capital Limited, with $ 5 million.

"It will interest you to know that the investments in AL Time Capital Limited by the National Health Insurance Plan were initiated by the Mahama administration in 2012. In fact, the placement of the first 5 million Ghana Cedis in a 365-day fixed deposit investment was made on March 26. July 2012.

"The NDC continued to recover the principal plus accrued interest and even made new investments with the same capital of all time. That is why she must now turn around and accuse the current government … and the current government … is incredibly harmful and unworthy of a political party seeking the people's mandate. "
