The European Union (EU) on Saturday expressed satisfaction with voter turnout at the presidential and national badembly elections today.
Maria Arena, the main mission of the EU observer, said this after visiting some voting units of the metropolis of Abuja.
Sending to reporters from the Zone 10 post office's voting unit, which has about five polling stations, Maria said the turnout was huge and significant.
She advised voters to behave peacefully, adding that a final report on the conduct of the elections would be presented after the general elections.
According to her, "we have 90 EU observers spread all over the country. We collect information from across the country.
"We will collect this data across the country. We are not here to give an impression, but we are here to collect data and information and we will make our report public on Monday, February 25, 2019.
"We saw that some voting units opened after 8 am. But we will have a final report on this.
"This election is important for the Nigerian people and we have seen a lot in polling stations. We also ask those who have not yet done so to do the same.
"I can not give my own impression now. What we can say is that we collect information throughout the country.
