The governor of Kaduna, addressing reporters at the end of the meeting at Government House, said: "We have invited them to feel free and, if they need additional security, we will provide them with help. . We told foreign observers to feel free when they were moving in the state.
"They asked me about my comment on the NTA's live program, about the state security situation and I explained them to them.
"The last security review we conducted took place on Friday with all the security agencies. All paramilitaries, such as immigration services, prisons, civil defense and Nigerian customs, will all provide security. Security agencies are ready to help the police.
"As you have observed, we have a history of violence during elections in Kaduna State. We have made it clear that vigilance groups will not be allowed to provide security tomorrow.
"I call on all voters to come and vote. We are convinced that everything will be fine. No one should be involved in the death of another person. We are therefore confident in the smooth conduct of the elections. "
